2018, a fantastic vintage! 

Finishing 5 weeks earlier than last year, 2018 has been a very compressed Vintage! 

Reds from our Mudgee vineyard have blown us away with their outstanding colour, flavour and depth, "It is the best Shiraz I’ve seen from this site in over a decade!" - Simon Gilbert.  

Our 2018 Mudgee Shiraz has been pressed off and will spend some time in Oak before its release mid next year – it will be worth the wait!

All of our aromatic whites and sparkling bases have finished ferment and are looking great! The team are particularly excited about the sparkling bases (Méthode Traditionnelle and Blanc de Blancs), plus our new White Field Blend, due to be released in September 2018. 

Our Pinot Noirs have been pressed off and are happily resting in tank and barrel split into an array of batches based on the different clones we use and also the different level of Whole Bunch. Having sourced parcels of fruit from a new premium vineyard, we are really looking forward to watching these wines come together over the coming months. 

We are steadily building our portfolio of small batch trials, and Vintage 2018 will produce some experimental Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and skin contact whites! 

Our Riesling 'Pet-Nat' is looking even better than last year; it was bottled and capped this week where it will finish the fermentation.

All fruit has been received into the winery & crushed, now we wait for the ferments to finish and that’ll be a wrap on the 2018 Vintage!
