Awards and Reviews:
"A thoroughly stylish pinot, bright and youthful, showing its new oak but in no way overdone. The bouquet and palate are very intense and expressive, deep and brooding, with dark cherry, spice and foresty characters of great clarity and vitality. Fine tannins; long finish. (From Mayfield and Borrodell vineyards. 100% new oak; four barrels, MV6 and 777 clones)" - 95 Points - Huon Hooke, The Real Review 2019
"This is 100% new French oak, clones 777 and MV6, 40% whole bunch. I guess you’ve got to get rid of all that new oak so you have nice old barrels somehow.
Toasted sweet spices, raspberry and red cherry, maybe some orange peel. It’s fleshy, with some powdery fruit tannin and oak grip, slightly creamy but still bright, spice and orange on a solid finish. Good, but doesn’t really need the oak on fruit of delicacy and perfume." - 90 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front 2020
