"Sourced from a single vineyard of decomposed basalt, high up and of a north westerly aspect. Hand picked, sorted and micro-batch fermented under the aegis of wild yeast, a small portion (15%) in barrel. 20% whole bunches in the mix. Maturation in French oak (18% new). Purple and blue fruits. Tightly furled aromatically, perhaps by the shock of youth. Needs time? Yet the finish, vibrant and jittery, scatters white pepper, clove, tapenade, iodine and charcuterie notes long. I have faith in this. Check it out in a year or so." ~ Ned Goodwin, MW
